Gabriel Cacoilo

Gabriel Cacoilo is a 22-year-old driver from Portugal known for a competitive, data-driven approach. He was introduced to racing by his father and began karting at age 7. After years of development, he stepped into GT competition in 2025.

During a test in Barcelona on July 30, 2025, in the Ligier JS2R with Chefo Sport, he delivered a strong pace benchmark and then entered the Iberian SuperCars GTX class to gain race experience for the next level in endurance racing.

Gabriel credits his father, Paulo Cacoilo, as a key reason for his progress. Paulo was a rallycross driver and shifted his own path to support Gabriel's career.

From the first laps at Kartodromo de Baltar to national-level karting seasons, the two built a strong technical and mental partnership that shaped Gabriel's racing identity.

Resilience Under Pressure

2021: Missed the first round of the Portuguese Rotax Trophy and still became champion that year.
2022: At the Rotax Max Grand Finals, recovered from a fuel transmission issue and kept racing after losing 20 seconds to the field.
2024: Started P13/29 in the Portuguese Cup final after qualifying setbacks and took the lead on the penultimate lap.
2025: Recovered championship ground through the season and won a title-deciding final battle with only half a point separating rivals.
